Watermarking
There are two primary types of Watermarking processes in the industry. The first is performed during the manufacturing of the paper, whereby a brass screen with an image brazed onto the wire surface rotates on top of the still wet mat of paper, impressing the image into the surface. The second method uses a relief plate to apply a chemical that makes a faint image into the paper. For large volumes, the first method is advisable, but for smaller runs the second method makes a "watermark" available to a wide range of end users.
Custom watermarking is available with all Harper produced papers.
